Helping Local Youth realize their dream of playing for Team Canada
Mirnawan Cup Fundraiser
An evening of friends, food, fun, prizes, field hockey trivia and skill-testing games, raising funds to help support three local boys on their journey to Malaysia as members of Field Hockey Canada's U17 Men's team. The Mirnawan Cup in Kuala Lumpur (Oct 29 - Nov 10) will see the boys competing against teams from around the world! The evening will include dinner, a silent auction, a raffle, a guest speaker, and a presentation by Julian, Aaron and Fletcher!

The goalkeeper
Aaron Barbour
Aaron started playing in June of 2023. He was immediately hooked. Within three months he was selected as the top goalkeeper at U16 National Championships in August 2023. In March 2024 he played for Canada at the Junior CanAm Indoor series where the team was undefeated. In August of 2024 he was part of the Quebec team that upset BC and won the U16 National Championship.At 6'3" Aaron's dominating size in the net is a force to be reckoned with. He hopes to one day represent Canada at the Olympics.


The Midfielder
Fletcher Green
Born and raised in Chelsea, QC, Fletcher discovered the sport at the age of 9 thanks to the Phénix Field Hockey program in the Gatineau Hills. A talented multi-sport athlete, in recent years he was inspired to make field hockey his top sport with the goal to play for Canada’s National Men’s and Olympic teams. His field hockey journey has taken him to the USA, France, Belgium, Netherlands, and across Canada including most recently as Team Québec’s Captain and Tournament MVP in Calgary where the QC boy’s won the National Championship in August 2024!
The Defender
Julian Touchette
Julian is a local athlete from Wakefield, Quebec, training with the Phénix Field Hockey program in Low, QC. After picking up the sport just over a year ago, he quickly discovered his passion for field hockey. Since 2023, Julian has competed across Canada and the US, participating in two National Tournaments, including a gold win with Team Quebec in Calgary in 2024. Now, he’s headed to Kuala Lumpur for his first appearance with Team Canada. With strong defensive skills and a love for the game, Julian aims to continue growing as part of Field Hockey Canada’s Next Gen program and to one day play on the Men’s National Team.
